What You'll Do
- Provide outstanding customer service in a retail, service-counter, & delivery environment
- Interact with customers and team members daily
- Prepare and stock fresh food including but not limited to salad bar & made-to-order sandwiches, and meal bundles
- Assist in preparation of catered meals in a professional kitchen environment
- Package, load, and deliver catered orders from our store to New Pioneer customers
- Demonstrate product knowledge
- Uphold New Pioneer customer service standards during all deliveries
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a daily basis
What We're Looking For
- Enthusiasm for working in fast-paced creative environment
- Verifiable work experience with excellent tenure and attendance
- Exceptional work ethic, organizational skills, efficiency, and dedication to quality
- Grocery store, convenience store, food service, or retail experience. Kitchen, catering, or delivery experience preferred.
- Demonstrated retail customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform assigned tasks
- Ability to read and speak English and perform basic arithmetic
- Computer and Point of Sale literacy, specifically in regard to order intake and delivery schedules
- Minimum 21 years of age
- “Clean” driving record and ability to be insured by our underwriter
- State of Iowa driver’s license
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to load and unload products in various types of weather
- Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks

We are looking to hire someone interested in providing outstanding customer service demonstrated through product knowledge, preparation, delivery, and dedication to quality.
This position requires a committed schedule which may include early mornings, mid-shifts, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as needed to meet our retail needs.
The Catering Driver works in a professional kitchen, bakery, and retail grocery store environment where direct interaction with customers and service excellence is expected. This role will include lifting, bending, and carrying repeatedly during a shift as well as driving a commercial van. This will involve frequent and extended periods of time packaging, loading, delivering, merchandising products.
